Pixels.

Sentimentality is what attracted me to Pixel art.
The style evokes memories of rainy days spent indoors, but happy ones nonetheless because I was accompanied by characters like Mario, Sonic or Link and immersed in a escapist fantasy through videogames.

Notes:
- The Bulldozer was a commissioned piece for my friend's ill-fated clubnight at The Phoenix that he was in charge of organising when he was assistant manager. - The blue-haired pixel boy was a commissioned piece for MUJS' Annual Party banner.
- The Cow was part of the Lil' Dudes project and was used as a logo by a programming team from South Australia University for one of their applications.
- The Cat and Mouse logo is for my musical project, Nanashi.

MS Excel - "Pixcel Art"

The constraints on creativity at my workplace seemed unbearable at first. But there is always a surreptitious way to overcome this!
I tend to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications in my job a lot. I found that with a bit of fiddling of the column width (change it from the default to 1.71 to match the row height) you can create a suitable grid and use Excel's "generous" palette of 40 highlighter colours! *gasp*
The process is incredibly time consuming, but it really made my afternoons fly by!
